Mr Fitter

Yesterday rooms 6, 7 and 8 went to our school's music room. We were talked to by Mr Fitter. Mr Fitter is a special man.  He travels around the world and meets special people. He is also a conservationist. He helps to look after Maketu Spit. When he came in he brought a guest in with him. It was a bird, a very special bird.  It was a New Zealand Dotteril.  These birds have a special breeding sanctuary on Maketu Spit.  The Dotteril was dead, although it looked alive.   We wish that all of you could have come to hear what Mr Fitter had to say.  He knows some amazing things about nature.

Next Monday the Future Force will be going to Maketu. We don't know what its going to be about but we think its to learn about waste management.  We know its going to be fun. We will be leaving on the bus at 9:00am and will be back at 2:15.
You  will need you to bring morning tea, lunch, covered shoes, hat, sweatshirt and drink.
Please wear your uniform.
